Modcom Grappling Smoker - Berkeley, CA

Congratulations to James, Diego, Taylor, and Shannon for participating in the Modcom Grappling Smoker.  It was a positive event that provided a good day of training.  Special shout out to James for winning the Most Technical Competitor Award.

Shootboxing - Japan

FTCC fighter Taylor "Ninja" McCorriston made his shootboxing debut in Japan.  Although he did not come home with the win, Taylor showed heart and courage, fighting an opponent with over twenty professional fights.  His heart and aggressive fighting style impressed the promoters and the many pro fighters in attendance.  One of the judges even ruled the fight a draw.  Congratulations Taylor!

Grappler's Quest - Las Vegas, NV

Congratulations to Darren, Diego, and Jim for their performances in this year's Grappler's Quest.  Darren fought three tough matches to capture the gold medal in the advanced no-gi division, winning two matches by submission and one by points.  Diego had tough first match in his return to submission competition, loosing only by a takedown.  The following day Jim won the gold medal in his purple belt division, gaining wins over tough opponents form Parragon and Team Mica.
